Ba Be National Park Trekking Tour (4 days)

The 4-day trekking tour is provided in the north eastern Vietnam taking you to Ba be National park and its surroundings villages. Begin your holiday adventures with a car transfer from Hanoi to Thai Nguyen province then up to Bac Kan where you enjoy a 3-hour boat trip on Ba Be lakes before starting your two-day hike. You trek through the primary forest, meet up with local H’mong and Dzao people. Explore the wild nature of Ba Be national park, eat local food and spend the night a local house (homestay). The tour is ideal for small group tours, family travel (holiday with kids) and those seeking an outdoor adventure holiday to the northern Vietnam. Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be National Park.

Leave Hanoi in the morning for the 5-hour drive to Ba Be National Park via Thai Nguyen. Arrive at Ba Be National Park around lunchtime. In the afternoon take a two and a half-hour cruise on the peaceful waters of Ba Be Lake, encircled by forest-covered hillsides. Overnight at Ba Be Park Guesthouse.

Day 2: Trekking Ba Be National Park

A full day forest hike through primary forest to the remote H'mong village of Hin Dam. The going is tough through the forest but the views from the top of the top, the pristine forest flora, medicinal plants and the opportunity to visit a remote hill tribe settlement make it a rewarding and memorable experience. Total walking time of around 6 hours. Return to park guesthouse for overnight.

Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Pac Ngoi village.

Leave the Ba Be park guesthouse with an overnight bag and take a boat across the lake to the Tay fishing village of Coc Toc. After visiting the village with its fishermen and local handicrafts follow an easy trail through gardens and orchards to Bo Lu village. Leaving Bo Lu the trail leads through dense forest with trees up to 2,000 years old. After an hour arrive at the picturesque village of Pac Ngoi nestled between the forest and limestone cliffs at the mouth of the Cho Leng River. Lunch is in a traditional village stilt house. In the afternoon explore the village, take a ride in a dugout canoe, swim in the lake or hire a bicycle and cycle along the riverside trail. Dinner and overnight at the village stilt house.

Day 4: Pac Ngoi village - Hanoi.

After breakfast return head back to the Park Headquarters by motorboat before driving back to Hanoi.
