You will find this tour a great combination of kayaking and trekking. Kayaking in the wonderland of karst topography with 3,000 limestone islets and trekking through the national park with great view of Halong Bay from mountains’ summits. We will paddle amongst islets, visit hidden caves, lagoons, unspoiled beaches, floating fishing village and talk with local fish-man. On Cat Ba Island we will trek through jungle and have a chance to see the panorama of Halong Bay from one of the mountain summits we would conquer during the trek. Before heading back to Hanoi via Hai Phong we would have a half day to relax on the beach of Cat Ba.
Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay. ( L, D )
Today we drive to Halong city with a 3 hour driving trip and a short break on the way. On arrival, off at Fantasea Adventures office (Halong city) for a welcome drink. At 12:00 PM board a beautiful wooden boat and start cruising on the bay. Lunch will be served on the boat while we cruise around the bay. Now you have time to enjoy the beauty of Halong bay and take photos. off for a guided visit of Sung Sot cave. Discover Titop area (or Luon cave area). Weather permitting you will be able to hike up Titop mountain as well as kayak and swim in the bay’s emerald waters. A Vietnamese dinner will be served on the boat.

Day 2: Halong Bay Cruise - Cat Ba island.( B, L, D )
Rise early for another chance to swim or rise later and have breakfast at your leisure. The boat will you off at Gia Luan pier on Cat Ba island. From here, a bus will take you to Cat Ba National park for some hiking and cycling. After the excursion, you will head towards Cat Ba town to check – in at the hotel on Cat Ba. Lunch will be served at the hotel. In the afternoon, you can relax at the hotel, shop along the sea-side strip, visit Cat Co beaches or go for a trip to Monkey Island with your tour guide. Free time to explore the town in the evening.


 Day 3: Cat Ba island - Halong Bay- Hanoi.( B, L, D )
Rise early to enjoy the sunrise or sleep a little longer, but check out is at 8:45 AM. You will head back to Gia Luan pier by bus and board the boat to cruise back to Halong harbor. Lunch will be served on the boat. You will have more chances to admire Halong bay before the boat returns to the habor. Pick up and drive to Hanoi. Have a short break on the way before you arrive in Hanoi city at around 16:00.

Day 4 Hanoi - Ba Be Lake ( B, L, D )
This morning after a breakfast at hotel we are departing from Hanoi to Ba Be National Park, we embark on a route up into mountain areas north of Hanoi, today we visit Cho Chu prison which was built in 1942, captured many Vỉetnam revolution politicians (Việt Cộng). Onwards to Ba Be Lake National Park, one of the largest natural lakes in Vietnam, home to many kinds of birds, scenic valleys, towering rocky outcrops, underground river tributaries, a gigantic cave and local ethnic minorities, including the Tay, Red Dao and Hmong.
Following an exploration of a spectacular cave, we hike around small villages and along the riverfront. The night is spent with a local family in the traditional house of a Tay family to experience their way of life

Day 5 Ba Be Lake ( B, L, D )
A dream day! The day begins with a morning trek in the park, we descend into the scenic valley, home of the Tay minority people and encircled by rock formations. In the afternoon we cross the rolling hills and pass Hmong and Red Dao villages.
The scenery is extraordinary, with rural farmland, and rugged mountains jutting out of the tangled jungle growth. We end our day in the same local family for the night.

Day 6 Ba Be Lake -  Hanoi ( B, L )
This is a spectacular boat trip on the lake. We stroll along the riverfront, visit some lovely villages and hike the upper reaches of the lake, in an area marked by massive limestone cliffs and mountains. After lunch in a local restaurant we also pay a visit to the Thai Nguyen Minority and Culture Museum where we can learn something about the culture and traditions of the different minority groups in Vietnam, it is our journey back to Hanoi, arriving there at around 6pm. The tour end.
